ESPD Guidance

The UK left the EU and the Transition Period ended on 31 December 2020.  The ESPD should not be used for any procurement exercises that commenced after 11.00 p.m. on 31 December.

If you have issued your contract notice (or PIN if used as a call for competition) prior to 11.00 p.m. on 31 December 2020, you should continue to use the ESPD request that you issued at the time of publication, as the procurement exercise is classed as beginning prior to the end of the transition period.  You should also continue to use your original ESPD during the lifetime of a Dynamic Purchasing System or a Framework Agreement that started before 31 December 2020.

If you have used a PIN in order to notify the market of an upcoming opportunity and intend to issue your contract notice after 31 December, you should use the SPD template.

Please refer to the SPD guidance and FAQs for further information.
